No. The Satanic Temple encourages all members who wish to deepen their knowledge and strengthen their commitment and bond to our religious community to pursue ordination. Being an ordained minister is not a “status symbol” or a stepping-stone, and does not confer any particular authority within our church. Although members must be ordained in order to serve as Congregation Heads, there are a wide variety of important and notable roles that members may fill in The Satanic Temple without being ordained. Therefore, having many (or even all) members of a congregation ordained as Ministers of Satan creates no conflict of interest.
