The phrase “Letter of Recommendation” mixes up two separate things in the ordination program, so it is important to identify which one you are asking about:
- When a minister wants to put forward the name of someone who has not yet signed up for the program so that they will be invited to register for the program, it is called a Recommendation for Candidacy.
- When a candidate has gone through the program and submitted their essay, a minister needs to send OrdCo a Letter of Approval for the candidate as one of the final requirements to complete ordination.
